A small 2 panel silver Furosaki Byobu, a tea ceremony screen of Kanzan and Jittoku, two popular zen monks who lived in Tang dynasty in China. they were Zen Buddhist priests and poets, but because of their eccentric and iconoclastic character people perceive them as special. Kanzan holds a sutra scroll, and Jittoku holds a broom.
19th Century.
