A beautiful bronze vase with inlaid silver moon and pampas grass.
"Tsukimi" (moon-gazing) is a Japanese tradition to watch the full moon between August 15 and September 13 of the lunar calendar. People make moon-offerings of sake and dumpling, decorate pampas grass on the veranda, and enjoy watching the full moon of the autumn evening.

It is in great condition.
The signature reads Houshu.
Circa late 1800s.
