Mid C. Shigaraki kiln mistake. Spectacular piece with a beautiful kintsugi,(Gold lacquer repair) on the lip of the tokkuri,(sake bottle). The tokkuri came crashing down on the body of the larger Shigaraki pot during the firing.
99% of kiln mistakes are trashed but once in dogs age the potter feels the mistake is more beautiful than what was intended.
