Edo period Saru Byoubu, ( Monkey screen)
1 of 2 Monkey screens picked up at auction this week.
This one is very realistic and well painted. condition is not good. There is a tear that has been fixed but the coloring has been left to chance. I want to have local artist here in Kyoto match the 19th century antique paper with his brush... should be done soon,

Price: $975.00
