Hand painted Japanese scroll of Fugen Bosatsu in Kano Tanyu style.
The signature and seal read Kano Hogan Morinobu (Tanyu's earlier name) and the painting is identicle to his work.

Fugen Bosatsu represents the Buddhist ideals of Law and Compassion.

Some old repair present and a few holes on right side of the image.
It has been re-mounted but the painting is from late Edo to Meiji period.(1800s)

Japanese Bronze Water Container with Dragon faucet, Foo Lion lid, and Elephant handles.
It was placed outside of lavatories in the mansion of a feudal lord to keep the water to wash the hands.

There is a small leaks from the dragons mouth only when running the faucet.
When the faucet is turned off, it does not leak.
Late Edo to Meiji period.
