Kyoto arrival April 14. Been to about ten auctions since my arrival. Its been very good so far. Have also collected a lot in the country side. We are posting the new collection on our new website,( same address www.asiagalleries.com) as I collect. I just bought some amazing Edo period armor in the last auction. We will post that in about 5 days as we are waiting for the stand to arrive from Osaka,Also a Kabuto I got 2 days ago. So check out the website,( we have already posted about 40 items). There will be about 45 more antiques to go online in the next few days. 19th C.Masks, Okimono,Mingei, Armor, and some amazing Byoubu, ( Japanese antique screens). So in a nut shell so far so good. I will be preparing for my trip to Burma, Lao,Nepal and China,( Tibet if I can get in) in about 1 month. Until then Its nothing but auctions ,Countryside buying and flea-markets all over Japan.
