AAA 50Vajra, Phurpa,and Curved knife. Collected at auction in Japan, is a relic of Shingon Buddhism (Vajrayana or Tantric) once practiced Japan. The Vajra,( To destroy Evil) The Phurpa,( used against evil spirits by the tantric practioner) and the Curved knife to slice and dice Evil and those that obstruct the Buddhist way.
This Piece came to a Kyoto auction with other Ritual relics from a Temple that came down in Kyoto Prefecture. It also has Tibetan Sango,( Mountain Coral) tied to it. It has been restrung, Beads are original and very old .
